Three to Five

From three years of age children begin to have their own friends and discover their own little identities. Socialising is a key area of this age and stage.

A stage of great discovery!

Around this time, they begin to understand more complex sentences. When reading a book together, playing some serve and return games is a great way to help exercise their growing brains.

Three is also great age to encourage them to start taking on a little more responsibility around the house. Give them little tasks to tackle. Completing daily tasks such as brushing their own teeth and helping to set the table helps to teach responsibility, routine and builds their self confidence. It’s also great prep for becoming a kindy kid.
